Getting Started with TMS for Depression Treatment

How to Get Started:

1. Free Consultation

When you call for your free consultation, we will ask a couple of basic questions and gather demographic and insurance information. We will schedule an appointment at your convenience. We will ask that you bring a list of all prior treatments and medications and note any side effects associated with each. We will gather a detailed history of your condition and determine if TMS is right for you. If you have someone that may be of assistance with understanding your options and assist with providing history. You will also have an opportunity to see the device and understand exactly what the TMS treatment process will involve.

2. Insurance and Verify Coverage

After your free initial consultation, we will seek prior authorization from your insurance and verify coverage. You will be informed of all associated costs in advance of any treatments. Once all arrangements have been made, you will meet with our physician who will assure that this the best medical intervention for you and review your information gathered at the initial consultation.

3. Meet with Physician

Once all medical and financial arrangements are finalized, often the same day that you meet with the physician, we will start your TMS treatments. You will set a time of day that is convenient for you.

You will return 5 days a week until your treatment is complete, usually 4-6 weeks based on the nature of your symptoms.

We Accept Insurance

TMS Therapy is covered by all major insurance companies, including Medicare, United Healthcare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, Tricare, and others. Our staff works with you and your insurance carrier to get treatment authorized and covered for you.

If, by chance, your insurance plan does not cover TMS Therapy, the cost of therapy may be recoverable from various sources including Private Insurers, Flexible Spending Accounts and Patient Financing Loans. During your free consultation, our TMS Coordinator will discuss any questions you may have regarding insurance coverage, costs, payments, and reimbursement.
